About Us
White Globe Initiative is an independent institution spanning foundational education, economics research, and film. It began with one teacher's answer to a classroom problem, and grew from there.
Building the foundation for borderless education
Every transformative movement begins with a simple realization: to change the future, you must rethink the foundation.
The story of White Globe Initiative began with a mission to revolutionize how children learn. Gazi Quamrul Hasan saw a critical gap in traditional education — students were memorizing formulas rather than mastering concepts. Believing that strong mathematical foundations in childhood spark a lifetime of problem-solving and critical thinking, he set out to redefine how math is taught. Working alone at first, he began designing a new, concept-first approach to learning — one built on curiosity, practical understanding, and rock-solid fundamentals.
From a Single Spark to a Shared Mission
Inspiration naturally attracted collaboration. Atikur Rahman, one of Gazi Quamrul's students and teaching assistants, saw the power of this vision and joined the effort. Soon after, Anisur Rahman, another dedicated student, came on board to bridge theory and practice by developing specialized learning tools and resources. What began as an individual passion project was quickly becoming a movement.
Expanding the Vision: Mathematics, Economics, and Film
As university teachers of Economics, Gazi Quamrul Hasan and his mentor, Biplob Kumar Nandi, noticed a recurring pattern: higher-level university students consistently struggled in Economics, Statistics, and Mathematics due to weak fundamental concepts from their earlier school years. Leveraging their network of university educators, they envisioned a comprehensive institution bridging early childhood learning with advanced academic disciplines.
At the same time, Biplob Kumar Nandi brought a passion for filmmaking into the core vision. Recognizing that cinema and visual media are unmatched tools for storytelling and human connection, the founders integrated film into the initiative — using visual storytelling to make complex academic ideas accessible, engaging, and inspiring for everyone.
A Sustainable Framework for Impact
To make this ambitious dream sustainable, financial independence was essential. Instead of relying solely on external donations, the initiative incorporated an Economics Research & Consultancy branch — generating internal funding to execute high-impact research and directly support its educational and media projects. Nazmul Hasan then took charge of the legal and administrative groundwork, formally establishing the initiative as an official non-profit organization.
Today: Education Without Borders
What started as an effort to teach primary math differently has grown into White Globe Initiative — a dynamic non-profit committed to borderless, accessible, and multidisciplinary education. By uniting foundational learning, academic research, and visual storytelling, we are building a world where every learner — regardless of background — has the tools, concepts, and creativity to thrive.
Mission
What we exist to do, day to day — and the standard every piece of research is held to.
One institution, four disciplines, one standard
White Globe Initiative grew from a single classroom into four connected arms — elementary education, in-house training, economics research, and film — because the same problem shows up at every level: people taught to memorize rather than understand. Our Economics Research & Consultancy branch funds the education and media work directly, so the institution answers to its own standards rather than a donor's calendar.
How we stay independent
Our training revenue is kept structurally separate from our research budget, so no client relationship shapes a published finding.
